• To get rid of pesky fruit flies, take a small glass or bowl and fill it with equal parts of Apple Cider Vinegar and a few drops of dish washing
liquid, mix well. You will find those flies drawn to the cup and gone forever.
• To polish silver, wash tarnished items, then place them on aluminum foil in the bottom of a pot. Add 1/4 cup of baking soda, a few teaspoons of salt and 1 quart
of boiling water to cover and let sit for a few seconds.
• Annoying ants? Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it home, and can't digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially
if it rains, but it works and you don't have to worry about pets or small children being harmed.
• Coffee or tea stain? Treat the area with lemon juice or white vinegar. If it's still visible, treat with a stronger bleach.
• The best way to keep your dryer working for a very long time is to take the filter out and wash it with hot, soapy water and an old toothbrush at least every
six months. The dryer sheets cause a film over the mesh filter and that's what burns out the heating unit.
• Wax or gum? Use ice to freeze it, or place the item in the freezer. Then remove the residue with an oil solvent. Rinse with isopropyl alcohol and let dry. Wash!
